LINDSAY – Today Local MP Jamie Schmale was pleased to see the liberal government will continue the previous government’s commitment to infrastructure spending in Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock, specifically $2.8 Million for Lindsay Cast Iron Watermain Replacement.

This funding announcement builds on to the $202,125,142 already invested in Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock since 2008,” said Schmale. “Infrastructure investments, like this one,  help with long-term, sustainable economic growth in our municipalities.”

The announced funding for 35 projects in communities across the province is under the 2014 New Building Canada Plan’s Small Communities Fund (SCF). SCF provides communities with support in addressing their infrastructure needs and operates concurrently with Gas Tax Funding.

“I look forward to work on behalf of constituents to ensure Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock continues to see these types of announcements and government support more regularly.”
