Lindsay, ON – Local MP Jamie Schmale, like many in the area, were saddened this morning to wake up to news that one of Lindsay`s favorite restaurants, St. Dave`s Diner was destroyed due to fire.

“For those 20 or so employees affected by the (hopefully) temporary loss of work, Service Canada located in downtown Lindsay is willing and able to help with Employment Insurance claims,” said Schmale. “My office is also able to help if needed.”

“The thoughts of my staff and I are with the management and staff of this popular establishment and to the numerous first responders who acted bravely in the middle of the night to deal with this unfortunate situation,” said Schmale.

Service Canada is located at 65 Kent Street West in downtown Lindsay. The Lindsay constituency office is located at 68 McLaughlin Road, Unit #1 or by phone at 705-324-2400.
